Daniel Kearney is an Irish pianist who began as a mostly self taught pianist and went on to study with some of Ireland's finest teachers including Jan Cap, Dr. John O'Conor in the Royal Irish Academy and as a private student of Finghin Collins. Daniel has been a recipient of the William Finlay Award for Gifted Young Pianists from the Dublin International Piano Competition. He has performed in some of Ireland's most prestigious venues including the National Concert Hall Dubin, The Royal Dublin Society, and Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin. As a winner of the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland's Soloist Competition, Daniel did a tour of Ireland performing to almost 40,000 people as a soloist with the orchestra. The tour was an initiative to promote peace between the people of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland after their history of conflict and violence. Daniel has participated in Masterclasses with a number renowned pedagogues including Christopher Elton, Boris Petrushanksy and Graham Scott. He is currently embarked on a tour of recitals in churches which will take him to such cities as Edinburgh, London, Bristol, Brighton, Helsinki, Geneva, Cannes and Florence.
