LAGV relies heavily on its members, sponsors and volunteers. In order to continue to pursue its mission to promote music in the Franco-American community LAGV needs your help.
Funds donated to LAGV are used to defray expenses for many things: performers, security charges, piano and organ restoration, special Cathedral Choir events, etc. Again this year many performances will be offered free of charge. The restored "Cole Porter" Steinway piano now adds wonderful ambiance and sound to performances in the Cathedral and the Yamaha grand is perfect for choir rehearsals and more intimate events in the Parish Hall. There are still copies of the professional recording of the Cathedral Choir for sale, panels have been constructed for use at the Annual Art Fair and most recently funds have been used to finance the restoration of the bellows of our Cavaillé-Coll 1887 Cathedral organ. LAGV continues to maintain this magnificent instrument until a complete restoration can be undertaken. In 2012-2013 LAGV made a significant donation to the Cathedral Choir budget to allow it to maintain the quality of its programs. Sponsorship donations go towards funding all of these efforts and many more. Please become a Sponsor by donating 50 euros or more to help us continue to support music and art at the American Cathedral. Your donations are tax deductible in France or the USA.
