Alleyn School Choir
Alleyn’s School is one of the UK’s leading independent co-educational schools located in London, with a reputation for outstanding music. Pupils attend Alleyn’s from all over London, and many additionally attend the various junior conservatoires, and some are members of the National Youth Orchestra. Choirs, orchestras, and ensembles rehearse regularly during term time, and perform at prestigious London venues including Southwark Cathedral, the Blackheath Concert Halls, and St John’s Smith Square. In recent years students have toured Rome and Barcelona singing in the Pantheon, St Giovanni in Laterano, and All Saints Church (Rome), and Barcelona Cathedral, St Pere, and the Basilica at Montserrat (Barcelona). The musical director is Chris Dearmer, who has been Director of Music at Alleyn’s since September 2014.
