Né en Bulgarie, Avguste Antonov a étudié le piano en Bulgarie (Dobrich), en France (École normale de Paris, Conservatoire de Bordeaux Jacques Thibaud) et aux États-Unis (2000: Université du Missouri-Kansas City; 2001-2004: Université du Kansas; 2006-2008: Texas Christian University).
Pianiste Avguste Antonov est à l’aise dans tous les répertoires, avec un intérêt particulier pour la musique des 20e et 21e siècles, en particulier les compositeurs vivants américains. Il a joué des premières mondiales et américaines dans des salles à travers l’Amérique du Nord et au fil des ans, il a travaillé avec les compositeurs Carter Pann, Raina Murnak, Matthew Lewis, Till Meyn, Matthew Saunders, Robert Rollin, William Vollinger et d’autres.
Avguste Antonov a présenté des récitals à travers les États-Unis, y compris dans les états du Colorado, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Floride, Pennsylvanie, Texas, Ohio, Caroline du Sud et Tennessee. Il a été soliste avec de nombreux ensembles, dont le San Jose State University Wind Symphony, le San Jose Wind Symphony, l’University City Symphony, l’Alton Symphony Orchestra, le Tulsa Camerata, le Lakeland Community Orchestra, le Jewish Community Orchestra-Portland et le South Kansas Symphony. Les concertos joués incluent Schumann Piano Concerto, Rachmaninoff 2ème, McDowell 2ème, Liszt 2ème, Ravel en sol, Gershwin en fa, Gershwin “Rhapsody in Blue”, Carter Pann “Concerto Logic” and Matthew Saunders “Piano Concerto”.
En plus de faire des concerts, Avguste Antonov est actif en tant que conférencier et juge pour pour divers concours, incluant les concours de piano et de musique de chambre ENKOR . Il a présenté des conférences et/ou a jugé pour la Carrollton Music Teachers Association, la Frisco Music Teachers Association, la Kansas Music Teachers Association, la Oklahoma Music Teachers Association et la Wisconsin Music Teachers Association.
Parmi les temps forts des saisons précédentes, citons un récital dans la residence de l’Ambassadeur Bulgare à Washington, la performance de Carter Pann “Concerto Logic” avec le San Jose State University Wind Ensemble, un concert “live” pour la Radio Publique de l’Etat de Kansas, la première mondiale et américaine de Matthew Saunders “Piano Concerto” avec l’University City Symphony (University City, MO) et le Lakeland Community Orchestra (Kirtland, OH).
Depuis Avril 2019 Avguste Antonov reside en France. De septembre 2019 à juin 2020, il a enseigné à l’école de musique “Couleur Musique” à Bordeaux. A partir de septembre 2020, il sera professeur de piano et accompagnement au Conservatoire de Châteaubriant.

En dehors de la musique, Avgust Antonov est un joueur d’échecs, membre du club Cercle d’Echecs Castelbriantais et participe à des tournois régionaux et nationaux.

Born in Bulgaria, Avguste Antonov has studied piano performance in Bulgaria (Dobrich), France (Ecole Normale de Paris, Conservatoire de Bordeaux Jacques Thibaud) and the United States (2000: University of Missouri-Kansas City; 2001-2004: University of Kansas; 2006-2008: Texas Christian University).
Pianist Avguste Antonov is at home in all repertoire and has a special interest for the music of the 20th and 21st century, especially American living composers. He has performed World and USA premieres at venues across North America and over the years, he has worked with composers Carter Pann, Raina Murnak, Matthew Lewis, Till Meyn, Matthew Saunders, Robert Rollin, William Vollinger and others.
Avguste Antonov has performed recitals all over the United States, including in Colorado, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee . He has been featured as soloist with many ensembles including the San Jose State University Wind Symphony, the San Jose Wind Symphony, the University City Symphony, the Alton Symphony Orchestra, the Tulsa Camerata, the Lakeland Community Orchestra, the Jewish Community Orchestra-Portland and the South Kansas Symphony. Concertos performed include Schumann Piano Concerto, Rachmaninoff 2nd, McDowell 2nd, Liszt 2nd, Ravel in G, Gershwin in F, Gershwin “Rhapsody in Blue”, Carter Pann “Concerto Logic” and Matthew Saunders “Piano Concerto”.
In addition to performing, Avguste Antonov is active as lecturer and adjudicator for various competitions, including the ENKOR Piano Competition. He has presented lectures and/or adjudicated for Carrollton Music Teachers Association, Frisco Music Teachers Association, Kansas Music Teachers Association, Oklahoma Music Teachers Association and Wisconsin Music Teachers Association.
Previous seasons highlights include a recital at the Bulgarian Ambassador Residence in Washington, DC, the performance of Carter Pann “Concerto Logic” with the San Jose State University Wind Ensemble, a live performance for the Kansas Public Radio, the World and US Premiere of Matthew Saunders “Piano Concerto” with the University City Symphony (University City, MO) and the Lakeland Community Orchestra (Kirtland, OH).
Since April 2019 Avguste Antonov resides in France. During the year 2019-2020, he was piano professor at the school of music “Couleur Musique” . Starting in September 2020, he will be professor of piano and accompaniment at the Conservatoire de Châteaubriant.

Outside of music, Avguste Antonov is a chess player, member of the chess club Cercle d’Echecs Castelbriantais and participates in regional and national tournaments.
