Emmanuelle Maggesi holds diplomas in performance, chamber music and piano teaching from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon. A specialist in contemporary music, she was pianist with the ensemble Les Temps Modernes for ten years, performing in Europe and abroad. Since 2006, she has formed the duo Cthulhu with percussionist Ying-Hui Wang. She has played 4 hands in the duo ClairObscur with pianist Anne Wischik since 2012.

Currently a piano teacher and coordinator of the keyboard department at the Conservatoire de Dunkerque, Emmanuelle Maggesi divides her professional life between teaching and musical projects.

Tom Yang, choreographer, singer, actor and dancer, was born in Okinawa and grew up in California. After training in dance in New York, he worked for the contemporary dance companies Tanz Forum, Ballet Rambert, Mantis, Lurching Darts and Cloud Gate. For several years he was the solo dancer in Sir Peter Maxwell Davies’ Vesalii Icones.

As an actor/singer/dancer he appeared in Pericles at the Royal National Theatre, TAG Theatre’s The Dance & the Railroad, and Miss Saigon at London’s West End. He was the soloist in Legs to Stand On by From Here to Maturity at the Purcell Room. For City Opera he conducted La Bohème and Les Contes de Hoffmann. He created the role of the Emperor in Shaolin Wheel of Life.

He is currently appearing as a solo dancer and puppeteer in Anthony Minghella’s production of Madame Butterfly for English National Opera, Lithuanian National Opera, and the Met in New York, as well as in the TV series: OVNI(s) on Canal+, and THE HEAD on HBO.
