Born in Palermo in 1999, Gabriele Laura graduated at the age of 19 with honors, praise and honourable mention at the Conservatory “A. Scarlatti” in Antonio Sottile’s class.

He is currently studying with Benedetto Lupo at the Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo and with Andrè Gallo and Enrico Pace at the Accademia Internazionale “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola, where in 2022 he participated in the recording on 12 CDs of Robert Schumann’s opera omnia for solo piano.

He debuted in recitals at the age of 14 and just a year later he debuted as a soloist with the orchestra, then holding numerous solo and chamber recitals in places as the Teatro Massimo of Palermo, Triennal University of Milan,  Teatro Tempio in Modena, Festival Ghislandi in Crema, Castromediano Museum in Lecce, “Amici della Musica” Palermo, Civic Theatre in Oleggio, UNESCO and the F.A.I.

In spring 2024 he was as invited to embark on a recital tournée in Poland, involving major cities like Varsavia, Krakow and Danzica.

He has been awarded in numerous International Competitions in Italy and Europe.

Gabriele collaborates assiduously with the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra, with which he has recently performed the ‘Carnival of Animals’ by Saint-Saëns as a solo.

He assiduously attends masterclasses held by renowned pianists such as Pietro De Maria, Boris Petrushansky, François Joel Thiollier, Riccardo Risaliti, Pasquale Iannone, Dennis Lee, Chee Hung Tooh, Gabriele Baldocci, Avedis Kouyoumjian.

Gabriele carries out an intense chamber activity with his saxophonist brother Alessandro, with whom he has performed in prestigious places such as the Parco della Musica in Rome, the Associaciò Musical Montserrat in Barcelona, Mozarthaus in Vienna and Royal Albert Hall in London.
