Romantic Duo

Ece Koyuncu, flute, graduated from the State Conservatory of Hacettepe University in Turkey and completed her academic career with a Master’s program at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, Italy. During the 2015-2016 academic year, she spent a year on exchange in Madrid at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Madrid and has attended masterclasses given by world-renowned flute teachers such as James Galway, Andrea Oliva, Bülent Evcil and Christian Plouveir. Furthermore, as a professional musician, Ms Koyuncu has given solo, orchestral and chamber music concerts in Rome in numerous concert halls and churches such as the Auditorium Parco della Musica, the Basilico di Santa Croce, the Basilica Sant’Agnese hors les Murs, the Basilica di San Pietro in Vincoli, in the Vatican Gardens, Sala Accademica of the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia. She has played 1st and 2nd flautist in several concerts in Turkey and Europe. She gave 12 concerts in 14 days with the orchestra at the Eurochestries Festival, which brought together musicians from all over Europe, including France.

Ms Koyuncu has also recorded Beethoven’s 7th Symphony with the Ankara Youth Symphony Orchestra and participated in various gatherings of Greek-Turkish orchestras of young musicians playing symphonic pieces such as “Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony” in several ancient amphitheatres in Turkey and Greece.

Gianfranco Granata, (piano), is a piano graduate of the Tito Schipa Conservatory in Lecce in Italy. He continued his musical training in Rome under Lya De Barberiis and attended master classes given by Aldo Ciccolini for three years. He founded the AIMA (Italian Academy of Music and Art), to continue and improve the work begun with the ACEM, in a school in the capital; work recognized and rewarded at the 1997 Annual Forum of Public Administration as part of the “One Hundred Projects to Improve Public Service” organized by the Ministry of Public Administration. The artistic director’s work is continually combined with that of piano teacher and concert performer, collaborating with internationally renowned artists such as Morricone, Natasha Korsakova, Ece Koyuncu and others.
