Sunday March 27, 2022 @ 15h00

The Scott/Garrison Duo, featuring clarinettist Shannon Scott and flutist Leonard Garrison “must certainly be counted among the foremost exponents of the music written for their particular combination” (Fanfare Magazine). They have released four CDs on Albany Records: Barn Dances (2010), Perennials (2013), Chimera (2016), and Rough Wind/Smooth Wind (2018). The Duo has performed together since 1988, with a long commitment to contemporary American music. They have been featured at many national conferences of the National Flute Association, College Music Society, and the National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors. The duo won grants from the University of Idaho, Washington State University, the Brannen-Cooper Fund and the Oklahoma State Arts Council and are members of the Flute-Clarinet Duos Consortium, which commissions new works from major composers for flute, clarinet, and piano.
