Till Oelkers, piano
Till Oelkers was born in Munich, Germany, into a family of musicians. He was strongly influenced by opera, orchestra and chamber music.
After studying piano in Austria with Professors Fuat Kent and Irina Purishinskaja (piano) and Elisabeth Zawadke (organ), he moved to France in 2002 to further his studies at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris “Alfred Cortot” in piano with Professor Marian Rybicki and in chamber music with Devy Erlih. He also attended masterclasses with Chantal Stigliani and Jean-Louis Caillard. Alongside his activities as a piano teacher, he regularly performs as a soloist and chamber musician.
He has given concerts in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Morocco.
Particularly attached to the classical and romantic repertoire, he also devotes himself to the interpretation and creation of contemporary works.
