David Grimes’ studies of the guitar have taken him throughout North America and Europe. His was director of Guitar Studies at CSU Fullerton and a former 18-year president of the Guitar Foundation of America, where he is now Reviews Editor for the journal Soundboard.
Michael Anthony Nigro directs the guitar program at Vanguard University, where he has established a comprehensive curriculum that includes Guitar Literature, Pedagogy, Fretboard Techniques and Guitar Ensemble. He has toured extensively throughout the United States, Asia, and South America. His discography includes 5 CD’s. His latest CD, “A Journey through Latin America,” showcases music by Isáac Albéniz, Francisco Tárrega and José Luis Merlín, among others.
Dr. Gregory Newton is on the faculties of Los Angeles City College, Los Angeles Valley College and Glendale College, is president of the American Guitar Society, director of the AGS International Concert Series, a former member of the GFA Board of Directors, has been a frequent contributor to periodicals, and adjudicates on international competitions.
