Free Sunday Concerts

Our Dimanches Musicaux concert series provides aspiring and confirmed musicians with the opportunity to perform in the nave of The American Cathedral in Paris free of charge. Concerts take place at 3pm on most Sundays from September to November and from January to June and last approximately 50 minutes.

The American Cathedral in Paris offers two unique venues suitable for hosting both large and small events.

The Cathedral Nave can accommodate audiences of up to 500 people, while the Parish Hall provides a more intimate concert setting with warm acoustics and seating for up to 100 people.

Les Dimanches Musicaux - Apply to Perform

Complete the application form below to apply to participate in our “Dimanches Musicaux” concert series. If your application is successful, you will be entitled to perform in the nave of the Cathedral free of charge. Concerts take place on most Sundays at 3pm from September to November and from January to June.

Availability calendar

To facilitate scheduling, we ask you to provide three alternative dates for your performance. Refer to the calendar below to identify available dates before completing the application form.

Please note: No "Dimanches Musicaux" concerts are scheduled during the months of July, August, or December. The Cathedral venues remain available for hire during these times. No concerts are scheduled on Easter Sunday.

Important notes

  • Please give full details of the proposed program, including the length of each piece. Total running time, including announcements and applause, must not exceed 60 minutes (NB: there is no intermisson)
  • Any piece of music which is not in the Public Domain may be subject to performing right fees. It is the responsibility of the performer alone to make any declaration necessary and to pay any fee that may be requested by SACEM.
  • Attach a photo with your application to be used on the program distributed at the concert and on the LAGV website.
  • Once received, we will review your application and contact you to let you know if your application was successful and confirm a date for your performance.

I have read and agree to abide by LAGV's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy regarding my participation in the "Les Dimanches Musicaux" concert series.

I understand that the hour immediately preceding the concert (2-3 pm) is the ONLY time allowed for rehearsal at the concert venue.

I understand that no tickets are sold for these concerts and there is no remuneration for the performers. I further understand that any money collected from the audience through free-will donations will be shared 50-50 between the performers and the Les Arts George V who organise the series.

I understand that the sale of CDs, DVDs, or other articles is not permitted at Les Dimanches Musicaux concerts.

I understand that any piece which is not in the Public Domain may be subject to performing right fees and that it is my responsibility alone to make any declaration necessary and to pay any fee that may be requested by SACEM.
